TV Review: True Blood: Season 3, Ep.9: Everything is Broken

true-blood-season-3-ep-9-everything-is-broken-header

True Blood, Season 3, episode 9, entitled Everything is Broken has probably one of the most entertaining endings  I have seen. Russell Edgington (Denis O’Hare) gave such a great performance at the end of the episode during a news report on the Vampire Rights Amendment to the Constitution. The amendment is dunzo. No amount of spin will reverse what Russell showed the world, whether his words were true or not. They were certainly heart-felt by him. He single-handed dismantled the public support for the bill. Telling people that vampires are immortal because they drink organic human blood, not synthetic True Blood,  will have tremendous ramifications as well.

The fallout in the next episode is going to be as Russell would say: Fantastic! I see the American Vampire League giving Eric their full support now. The only hope they have is bringing Russell to justice, human justice, handing him over to human authorities to stand trial for the murder of the reporter. They will have to construct a special vampire prison for Russell. A human prison would not hold him.

I’m looking forward to finding out what Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) is and Pam (Kristin Bauer) crying at the fact that Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgård) might die was good. I didn’t know they had been together for a hundred years.
