The second movie trailer for Underworld: Blood Wars (2017) have been released at the 2016 New York Comic Con. This Underworld: Blood Wars trailer is more of what was seen in the first trailer for this film. This film looks extremely middle-of-the-road. One of the most exciting elements of the last Underworld film (Underworld: Awakening), India Eisley, doesn’t seem to be a part of this film. This is a surprising move and a shame. Selene (Kate Beckinsale)’s daughter would have added a whole new level of drama to the film.

Underworld: Blood Wars writer of Cory Goodman made a narrative mistake with superpowering Selene. If you keep giving Vampire-Corvinus Strain Hybrid Selene more and more powers, who in the world will be able to defeat her? If this trend continues, by Underworld 9, Selene will have obtained the power of flight and invisibility. The Lycans will be discovered to be a strain of alien and Selene will have to travel to their home planet to defeat them once and for all. She will have to break into NASA, etc.

Underworld: Blood Wars‘s plot synopsis: “The next installment in the blockbuster franchise, UNDERWORLD: BLOOD WARS follows Vampire death dealer, Selene (Kate Beckinsale) as she fends off brutal attacks from both the Lycan clan and the Vampire faction that betrayed her. With her only allies, David (Theo James) and his father Thomas (Charles Dance), she must stop the eternal war between Lycans and Vampires, even if it means she has to make the ultimate sacrifice.”

Anna Foerster‘s Underworld: Blood Wars also stars Lara Pulver, Theo James, Charles Dance, Tobias Menzies, Bradley James, Alicia Vela-Bailey, Daisy Head, Trent Garrett, James Faulkner, Oliver Stark, Peter Andersson, Brian Caspe, Clementine Nicholson, and David Bowles.
