Papillon Trailer

Michael Noer‘s Papillon (2017) movie trailer stars Rami Malek, Charlie Hunnam, Tommy Flanagan, Eve Hewson, and Roland Møller. Papillon‘s plot synopsis: based on the book by Henri Charrière, “Based on the international best-selling autobiographic books “Papillon” and “Banco”, PAPILLON follows the epic story of Henri “Papillon” Charrière (Charlie Hunnam), a safecracker from the Parisian underworld who is framed for murder and condemned to life in the notorious penal colony on Devil’s Island. Determined to regain his freedom, Papillon forms an unlikely alliance with quirky convicted counterfeiter Louis Dega (Rami Malek), who in exchange for protection, agrees to finance Papillon’s escape, ultimately resulting in a bond of lasting friendship.”

I have never watched the Steve McQueen version of Papillon from beginning to end. I caught it on TV once and watched it from the middle to the end. After seeing the remake trailer, I will be watching the original within the next two weeks.
