TITANS: Team Roster for Live-Action Series Revealed

Titans

Superhero Line-Up for TNT’s Titans Gets Released. TNT is still hard at work developing Titans, a live-action series based on the superhero team the Teen Titans. Very little has been given on the project since its announcement, but now we will finally learn who will be on the team.

According to Nerdist, they reported that Boy Wonder Dick Grayson will be leading the series as he transitions from Robin to Nightwing during the pilot episode. Former Batgirl Barbara Gordon will also be a member, who is now on a wheelchair but hasn’t taken the name of Oracle yet in the series. Founding members Raven and Starfire will also be a part of the team as well. Lastly, the superhero duo Hank and Dove will be in the line-up based on the New 52 version, meaning that they will likely be a romantic pairing.

This line-up will certainly turn heads since fans will notice the absence of Cyborg and Beast Boy in the series. While we don’t know why Beast Boy wasn’t added to the roster, it is understandable why Cyborg won’t be in the series due to him appearing in next year’s upcoming film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice played by Ray Fisher before heading out on his own solo adventure. The blog also notes that there is a possibility for the series to share the same universe as The CW’s Arrow and The Flash since they are all part of the same production company, but it remains uncertain.

Production for Titans is set to begin sometime this year for the pilot episode. The live-action series will be written by Akiva Goldsman and Marc Haimes.
