AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON (2015): Aaron Taylor-Johnson Talks Quicksilver

Aaron Taylor-Johnson Quicksilver Avengers Age of Ultron

Aaron Taylor-Johnson Discusses Quicksilver on Avengers: Age of Ultron. When we heard that Fox and Marvel Studios would be developing their own versions of Quicksilver, we knew there would be some differences. Who would know better than Aaron Taylor-Johnson to tell us about it?

Chatting with IGN, Aaron Taylor-Johnson talked about his version of Quicksilver, saying how different he is to Evan Peter’s take on the character in X-Men: Days of Future Past. One difference Johnson mentioned is the fact that he has Scarlet Witch in his corner throughout the film. “I think without Scarlet Witch you can’t really have Quicksilver because they’re twins and they are really yin and yang and they balance each other out.”

Johnson also mentions another difference from the X-Men version, which was that the Avengers version would incorporate their Eastern European upbringing.

In the comic books, it was pretty very much that they were, you know, part of Scucovia…so we wanted to embrace that kind of that sound and accent and that look so, you know, we really tried to bring it back to where the comics were…not to take it away from what they did with their Quicksilver.

So which Quicksilver do you prefer: Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s or Evan Peter’s version?
