Shinsuke Sato‘s Bleach (2018) teaser trailer and movie poster stars Sôta Fukushi. Bleach‘s plot synopsis: based on the manga by Tite Kubo, “Ichigo Kurosaki never asked for the ability to see ghosts—he was born with the gift. When his family is attacked by a Hollow—a malevolent lost soul—Ichigo becomes a Soul Reaper, dedicating his life to protecting the innocent and helping the tortured spirits themselves find peace.”

I am unfamiliar with the manga that inspired this film but I can see its influences in the brief footage on-screen i.e. the great sword Zanpakuto. That sword most weigh that must weigh three or four hundred pounds yet Ichigo Kurosaki (Sôta Fukushi) wields it as if it was weightless.

Tite Kubo was actually involved in the production of Bleach. He wanted to make sure that the live-action adaptation was faithful, as much as possible, to his original vision, including the Soul Society. A Soul Society sounds like a fascinating concept. I hope that Ichigo Kurosaki’s sword fighting with Zanpakuto is shown in the next trailer for Bleach. What would also be helpful to the viewer is if the plot of the film is divulged on-screen. Bleach‘s secondary characters need to be given screen time as well.
