Box Office August 10-12, 2018

The Meg premiered in the Number One spot at the box office over the weekend with $44.5 Million. That is a better opening than Pacific Rim: Uprising, Rampage, and Ready Player One. The Meg has defied all expectations and landed at the top of the box office with a strong opening.

Mission: Impossible – Fallout was Second with $20 Million for $161.9 Million so far. World-wide, Mission: Impossible – Fallout has made $437.5 Million.

Christopher Robin was Third with $12.4 Million at the box office this weekend.

Slender Man premiered in Fourth Place with $11.3 Million at the box office this weekend.

BlacKkKlansman premiered in Fifth Place with $10.7 Million at the box office this weekend.

The Spy Who Dumped Me, Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again!, The Equalizer 2, Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation, and Ant-Man and the Wasp rounded out the top Ten respectively.

The Meg is a 2018 science fiction thriller film directed by Jon Turteltaub with a screenplay by Dean Georgaris, Jon Hoeber, and Erich Hoeber, loosely based on the 1997 book Meg: A Novel of Deep Terror by Steve Alten. The film stars Jason Statham, Li Bingbing, Rainn Wilson, Ruby Rose, Winston Chao, and Cliff Curtis, and follows a group of scientists who encounter a 75-foot-long (23 m) Megalodon shark while on a rescue mission at the floor of the Pacific Ocean.

Slender Man is a 2018 American supernatural horror film directed by Sylvain White and written by David Birke, based on the character of the same name. The film stars Joey King, Julia Goldani Telles, Jaz Sinclair and Annalise Basso, with Javier Botet as the titular creature.

BlacKkKlansman is a 2018 American biographical crime film co-written and directed by Spike Lee, based on the memoir Black Klansman (2014) by Ron Stallworth. The film stars John David Washington as Stallworth, alongside Adam Driver, Laura Harrier, and Topher Grace. Set in 1972 Colorado Springs, the plot follows the first African-American detective in the police department, who sets out to infiltrate and expose the local chapter of the Ku Klux Klan.
