The theatrical movie box office results for May 20, 2022 through May 22, 2022 have been released.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was Number One at the box office in the United States over the weekend for the third week in a row with $31.6 Million for $342 Million so far. Worldwide, the film has made $803.1 Million.

Downton Abbey: A New Era premiered in Second Place at the box office with $16 Million.

The Bad Guys was Third at the United States box office with $6.1 Million.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was Fourth with $3.9 Million for $181 Million so far. Worldwide, the film has made $368.1 Million.

Men premiered in Fifth Place at the box office over the weekend with $3.2 Million.

These films: Everything Everywhere All At Once, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, Firestarter, The Lost City, and The Northman rounded out the Top Ten respectively.

The films in the Top Ten that opened this weekend at the box office:

Downton Abbey: A New Era is a 2022 historical drama film and the sequel to the 2019 film Downton Abbey. Both films were written by Julian Fellowes, the creator and writer of the television series of the same name, with the sequel being directed by Simon Curtis, replacing Michael Engler who directed the first film.

Men is a 2022 folk horror film written and directed by Alex Garland. It follows a widowed young woman (Jessie Buckley) who goes on a solo holiday in the English countryside but becomes disturbed by the men in the community (all portrayed by Rory Kinnear).
