The theatrical movie box office results for May 6, 2022 through May 8, 2022 have been released.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness premiered in the Number One spot at the box office in the United States over the weekend with $187.4 Million.

The Bad Guys was Second at the box office with $9.5 Million.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was Third at the United States box office with $6 Million for $169.7 Million so far. Worldwide, the film has made $332.3 Million.

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore was Fourth at the box office with $4.2 Million.

Everything Everywhere All At Once was Fifth at the box office over the weekend with $3.5 Million.

These films: The Northman, The Lost City, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, Memory, and Father Stu rounded out the Top Ten respectively.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is a 2022 American superhero film based on Marvel Comics featuring the character Doctor Strange. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is the sequel to Doctor Strange (2016) and the 28th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film was directed by Sam Raimi, written by Michael Waldron, and stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Strange, alongside Elizabeth Olsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Rachel McAdams.
