The films in the Top Ten that opened this weekend at the box office:

Barbarian is a 2022 American horror film written and directed by Zach Cregger. It stars Georgina Campbell, Bill Skarsgård and Justin Long. Arnon Milchan, Roy Lee, Raphael Margules, and J.D. Lifshitz serve as producers on the film. The film follows a young woman who finds out the home she rented was double-booked with another man, and discovers a dark secret in the house.

Brahm?stra: Part One – Shiva is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language fantasy action-adventure film written and directed by Ayan Mukerji. It is produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Namit Malhotra, and Mukerji – in his debut production – under the production companies Dharma Productions, Starlight Pictures, and Prime Focus in association with Star Studios, along with Ranbir Kapoor and Marijke DeSouza. The film serves as the first instalment of a planned trilogy, which is itself planned to be part of a cinematic universe titled Astraverse. It stars Amitabh Bachchan, Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni. Drawing inspiration from stories in Hindu mythology, the film follows Shiva (Kapoor), an orphan with pyrokinetic powers who discovers that he is an astra, a weapon of enormous energy. He attempts to prevent the strongest of the astras, the Brahm?stra, from falling into the hands of dark forces that connect to his history.

Lifemark is a 2022 American Christian drama film by director Kevin Peeples, adapting the true story of the adoption of David Scotton, previously depicted in the 2018 short documentary film I Lived on Parker Avenue. It tells the story of how a young man’s mother considered aborting him, but instead made an adoption plan for him, and later reconnected with him as a young adult. Kirk Cameron, Alex Kendrick, and Raphael Ruggero star, while the Kendrick Brothers co-wrote the script with Peeples and act as executive producers.
