Stephen Amell Oliver Queen Arrow Older

Stephen Amell to Portray An Older Oliver Queen on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. When the team time travels to the future during DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, they will encounter Oliver Queen, but he will appear a lot older and with a missing arm.

EW first reported that Stephen Amell would be reprising his role as Oliver Queen in The CW spin-off, but this time with a few big changes. We will be seeing be Oliver Queen in the future when the team time travels to the year 2046, with Oliver sporting a goatee and a missing arm. If you find this familiar, that is because he is reminiscent to the version shown in The Dark Knight Returns. He will also be joined by Connor Hawke, who will take the mantle of Green Arrow. But will he be Oliver’s son? Only time will tell.

EP Marc Guggenheim addressed Oliver’s new appearance in Legends of Tomorrow, which will happen during the sixth episode. “Every once and a while, we do an episode where the 10-year-old me has to pinch himself,” Guggenheim explains. He also added:

We’re not only introducing our version of Connor Hawke to our universe, we’re going to meet the 2046 version of Oliver Queen, and Stephen Amell is going to be reprising his role from Arrow. As an added bonus to comic-book fans, Oliver is missing his left arm and will be sporting a goatee, in a nod to the character’s appearance in the seminal Dark Knight Returns. We think this episode features some of the coolest things we’ve ever done.

It will be really interesting to see how much of Oliver Queen has changed when we see him in the future. What do you guys think of this future version of Oliver Queen that we are about to meet?
