DEMENTIA (2015) Movie Poster: Gene Jones Loses The Plot

Dementia Posters Arrive

Dementia Movie Poster. We reported on this horror film at the beginning of the summer, when IFC Midnight purchased the distribution rights. They have a fairly good track record, and after Gene Jones‘ performance in Ti West‘s The Sacrament (2013), our attention is rightfully on this new film and its potential to thrill.

For a more elaborate response to the synopsis of Dementia and IFC Midnight in general, go back in time and read my thoughts about it all here.

According to Bloody-Disgusting, “Director Mike Testin, and Producers by J.D. Lifshitz and Raphael Margules are the filmmakers behind the horror hit film Contracted. Executive Producers are Jonathan Yunger and Jeffrey Greenstein. The screenwriter is Meredith Berg.”

Take a look at the posters below. Which one do you prefer? I kind of dig the thematic evaporating of the title in the second one.

Dementia‘s plot synopsis: “After being diagnosed with Dementia, an elderly war veteran is forced by his estranged family to hire a live-in nurse, only to find she harbors a sinister secret.”

I grew up in Hamburg to a German father and Ecuadorian mother. Obsessive student of film, Hip-Hop, and stand-up comedy. I love the dark dreambox that is the cinema auditorium. I love mountains and the ocean, but am equally exhilarated by the jungle of the city. I hope to one day create something that hits someone in the brain with thunderous effect.
