Dwayne Johnson Hints at Black Adam and Shazam Crossover

Actor Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s role as Black Adam changed when Warner Bros. decided to have him star in his own movie rather than being introduced in Shazam. Dwayne dropped a few details on the upcoming film and whether we can expect a crossover with his enemy.

The former wrestler-turned-actor has been having a good streak when it comes to films, so with him playing Black Adam may insure another big hit. He went from getting a supporting role on Shazam to getting his own film in the upcoming Black Adam solo feature. It’s inevitable that these two DC characters will be crossing paths soon, and the actor recently confirmed that the plan is for them two to meet up at some point.

“[What] we decided to do was to create a scenario where Black Adam has his stand-alone movie, and Captain Marvel, Shazam, has his stand-alone movie. We’re building our world that way, and then we can come together at some point,” he told MTV News. He does have a point once Shazam and Black Adam become huge at the box office.

In regards to his experiences working with the studio, Johnson applauded Geoff Johns for what he has planned for Black Adam in his solo film. “We’ve had great discussions with Geoff Johns over at DC. This is a really fun, cool time for DC right now because they’re world-building. We’re seeing that with Wonder Woman and Aquaman. We have a few surprises down the line.” All Dwayne can say is that the movie will be amazing.
