Movie Theaters Offer $3 Tickets September 3rd as an Extended Edition of SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Hits Theaters

$3 Tickets Saturday September 3rd Only for National Cinema Day

Select movie theaters in the United States will be offering $3 tickets on Saturday September 3rd which is National Cinema Day and coincides with the release of an extended edition of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

During the time period surrounding COVID-19 in late 2021 (and early 2022), Spider-Man: No Way Home was one of the several bright spots at the box-office as a big theatrical performer, financially speaking. In case you missed it, the movie blockbuster is coming back to U.S. theaters this weekend and if you go see it on National Cinema Day (September 3rd), selected theaters will be offering tickets at the bargain price of just $3.00 to celebrate and also encourage people to go back to the movies.

Spider-Man: No Will Be Home will be presented as an extended edition with 11 extra minutes of scenes and will supposedly have a new mid-credit sequence featured at the end. Also, playing this weekend in terms of older movies will be a limited re-release of the 1975 masterpiece, the original Jaws. That movie hasn’t played in a nice number of theaters for many years now and fans of the Steven Spielberg film are just as excited at the prospect of seeing that film on the big screen as they are at seeing the new footage of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Looking for something you haven’t seen before that’s more current? Sundance’s festival favorite, Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul. will be coming to theaters just as it is streaming on Peacock this coming weekend. It’s the type of movie that works better with an audience, though. Regina Hall stars in an amazing performance in this comedy with religious overtones that warranted a recommendation from me back when I reviewed it at Sundance.

There are also some nice leftovers from the films which played this past summer, most notably Top Gun: Maverick which has become the bona-fide box-office favorite hit of the summer of 2022 from a financial, critical and audience standpoint. I think Bullet Train with Brad Pitt is also worth seeing on the big screen if you have not seen it yet. That movie features relentless action scenes and is well suited for a terrific movie theater experience, to be sure.

Before heading out to the movies this Saturday, check with your local U.S. theater to see if they are participating in the $3 ticket price reduction. It may just be the perfect day for a double feature, and it won’t hurt your wallet too much either! And, for those who haven’t seen Spider-Man: No Way Home or the original Jaws on the big screen, don’t miss this opportunity.
