Robocop Returns Loses Director Neill Blomkamp

Fantasy Book Gormenghast Given Book-to-TV Series order by Showtime

Mervyn Peake’s fantasy book trilogy Gormenghast has been given a book-to-TV series order by Showtime. Neil Gaiman and Akiva Goldsman will executive producer the television series.

Gormenghast‘s synopsis:

A doomed lord, an emergent hero, an array of bizarre creatures, and an ancient royal family plagued by madness and intrigue?these are the denizens of ancient, sprawling, tumbledown Gormenghast Castle. Within its vast halls and serpentine corridors, the members of the Groan dynasty and their master Lord Sepulchrave grow increasingly out of touch with a changing world as they pass their days in unending devotion to meaningless rituals and arcane traditions. Meanwhile, an ambitious kitchen boy named Steerpike rises by devious means to the post of Master of the Ritual while he maneuvers to bring down the Groans.

Krypton and its Logo Spin-off TV Series Have Been Cancelled by Syfy

Krypton, the world of Superman-based sci-fi TV series, has been cancelled by Syfy. The finale of Season 2 will be the finale for the series. The Lobo spin-off TV series has also been cancelled.

Raising Dion TV Series Premiere Date Released by Netflix

Raising Dion, the sci-fi family drama, will premiere on October 4, 2019 on Netflix.

Raising Dion‘s plot synopsis: “Raising Dion follows the story of Nicole Reese (Wainwright), who raises her son Dion (Young) after the death of her husband Mark (Jordan).
