Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures’ $11.9 Billion Box Office Run in 2019

Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures had an unprecedented box office haul in 2019, $11.9 Billion ($3.76 billion domestically and $7.35 billion internationally), which accounts for thirty-three percent of the domestic box office gross during the year.

Six of its films have made over a one billion dollars at the box office:

Marvel Studios’ “Captain Marvel” ($1.13 billion) and “Avengers: Endgame” ($2.8 billion); Disney live-action’s “Aladdin” ($1.05 billion) and “The Lion King” ($1.66 billion); Pixar’s “Toy Story 4” ($1.07 billion); and Walt Disney Animation’s “Frozen II” ($1.26 billion)

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker may make it into the one billion club as well. The Rise of Skywalker currently sits at $815.6 Million world-wide at the box office.

WandaVision Will Debut on Disney+ in 2020

WandaVision has had it debut year moved from 2021 to 2020 on Disney+. The TV series will star Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany reprising their Marvel Comics roles of Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch and Vision respectively.

Raising Dion has Renewed for Season Two by Netflix

Raising Dion, starring Ja’Siah Young and executive produced by Michael B. Jordan, has been renewed for Season 2 by Netflix. Season 2 will consist of eight, one hour episodes.
