Screen Actors Guild Honors Leonardo DiCaprio on 30th Anniversary

The Screen Actors Guild Foundation will be throwing a celebration party for their 30^th anniversary spectacle on November 5^th in Beverley Hills. The guest of honor will be no other than arguably today’s biggest movie star Leonardo DiCaprio. The Revenant’s star will receive the Actors Inspiration Award for his phenomenal career as well as his outstanding philanthropy work. Other honorees include The Butler’s director Lee Daniels, super producer Megan Ellison, and Chicago’s director Rob Marshall. These three industry figures will receive the Patron of the Artists Awards for their impact on the actor’s life as well as the many job opportunities created by their films.

Instead of the annual dinner, SAG decided to go all out for their 30^th anniversary celebration. A red carpet will be present as well as a VIP reception which will lead to the show and then lead to the after party. President of the SAG foundation states that the party will be “fabulous” and the bash will make more people aware of all that SAG actually does. Since its founding, SAG has given over seventeen million dollars to SAG-AFTRA families and over six million dollars in scholarships. SAG has always been about giving back and this party will cement that idea. Furthermore, Leonardo DiCaprio may be the biggest celeb in Hollywood but he also one of the biggest contributors to charity in tinsel town. His environmental work and refugee aid is something all people should be aware as it may inspire others citizens to follow in his selfless path.

With Leonardo DiCaprio, Megan Ellison, and Rob Marshall apart of it, it sounds like this 30^th anniversary bash will be one of the most talked about parties in Hollywood after it passes and maybe even an annual affair.
