Stellan Skarsgard and Kyle Soller to Join Rogue One Star Wars Disney+ TV Series

Stellan Skarsgard and Kyle Soller are reportedly in talks to join the cast of the untitled Rogue One Star Wars Disney+ TV Series.

Skarsgard and Soller are currently in negotiations to join Diego Luna in Disney+’s upcoming Star Wars series. Skarsgard being no stranger to Disney productions, having been in Marvel’s Thor and Avengers films as Dr Erik Selvig. Soller however, is most known for playing Francis in BBC Series Poldark. The series will be based on Luna’s character, Cassian Andor, which the actor played in the 2016’s ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’. The series is set to be a prequel to the 2016 film and will have one of the writers from the film, Tony Gilroy on board to write the pilot for the series, as well as directing a few episodes. However, like the highly anticipated Obi-Wan Series, plot details have yet to be revealed.

The series was set to debut in 2021, however due to the current COVID-19 pandemic across the globe which has put a halt on several productions in the film industry, there may be a delay. Especially considering the series hasn’t even began production and are still in cast negotiations. This series is another highly anticipated addition to the Star Wars saga, especially following Disney’s success with the The Mandalorian.
