Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures has released the first movie TV commercial for The Lion King (2019). There are a few new shots in The Lion King TV Spot but it is basically the previously released teaser trailer.

The Lion King‘s plot synopsis: “From Disney Live Action, director Jon Favreau’s all-new “The Lion King” journeys to the African savanna where a future king must overcome betrayal and tragedy to assume his rightful place on Pride Rock.”

More on the plot of The Lion King (spoilers):

A young lion prince is cast out of his pride by his cruel uncle, who claims he killed his father. While the uncle rules with an iron paw, the prince grows up beyond the Savannah, living by a philosophy: No worries for the rest of your days. But when his past comes to haunt him, the young prince must decide his fate: Will he remain an outcast or face his demons and become what he needs to be?

Jon Favreaus The Lion King also stars Donald Glover, Seth Rogen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Billy Eichner, John Oliver, Keegan-Michael Key, Beyonce Knowles-Carter, James Earl Jones, Alfre Woodard, John Kani, Eric Andre, JD McCrary, and Shahadi Wright Joseph.
