The Woods Trailer and Poster

Adam Wingard‘s The Woods (2016) teaser trailer, movie poster star Callie Hernandez, James Allen McCune, Brandon Scott, Wes Robinson, and Corbin Reid. The Woods‘ plot synopsis: College students go on a camping trip and discover that they are not alone in the woods.

Based upon the accolades in the poster, this horror film is receiving high praise from the film critics that have seen it. It begins with the ordinary horror setup: colleges vacationing in the woods (instead of somewhere exotic, livelier, and far more fun). The situation soon goes south then all hell breaks loose. I would say this film looked standard except for the eerie beginning to the trailer and the montage in the last third of the trailer. I can’t tell what the campers have encountered or are dealing with but it doesn’t seem like one thing. It seems as though they are being attacked by multiple forces.

The fact that the evil force (or forces) are not defined greatly benefited the trailer (and hopefully the film as well).
