2016 Tony Awards: Nominees and Winners
Tony Award nominees and winners. This year’s Tony Awards, which took place on June 12, 2016 and were hosted by James Corden, made history in a number of ways. Possibly the most inclusive Tony Awards yet, the show took place in the wake of early Sunday morning’s mass shooting in Miami, which many guests honored with silver ribbons and statements in acceptance speeches. Hamilton made records too, receiving 16 nominations and winning for 11. Here’s a list of all of the nominees and winners in each category.
