Willow

Ellie Bamber has been cast as Dove, “whose backstory resembles that of Willow from the movie. Dove is an unassuming kitchen maid who proves she is the ‘chosen one’ as she embarks on the journey.”

Cailee Spaeny has been cast as Kit, “the princess whose twin brother was abducted. She is destined to be a leader and ultimately the queen.”

Erin Kellyman has been cast as Jade, “a servant who is Kit’s best friend and moral compass. She is on her way to becoming the best young warrior in the kingdom.”

They join already cast Warwick Davis.

Willow‘s plot synopsis: it “will take place years after the events of the film…According to circulated casting information for the series, [the plot] revolves around a group on a mission to save a kidnapped prince. The members of the team include Dove (Bamber), whose backstory resembles that of Willow from the movie. Dove is an unassuming kitchen maid who proves she is the ‘chosen one’ as she embarks on the journey. She is joined by Kit (Spaeny), the princess whose twin brother was abducted. She is destined to be a leader and ultimately the queen. Kellyman plays Jade, a servant who is Kit’s best friend and moral compass. She is on her way to becoming the best young warrior in the kingdom. Also part of the group is a guy who echoes Val Kilmer’s character in the movie. A thief and liar, he joins the quest in exchange for getting out of prison.”

Jonathan Kasdan wrote the screenplay for the Jon M. Chu-directed pilot episode.

All Rise

Anne Heche has been cast as Corrine Cuthbert, “an infamous trial attorney who is often called upon by police unions to defend officers accused of violent crime. She is wicked smart, using humor as a distraction while she verbally destroys anyone who gets in her way.”

Apple TV+

Surface

Gugu Mbatha-Raw has been cast in the undisclosed lead role in the TV series.

Veronica West wrote the screenplays for the eight-part psychological thriller series.

HBO Max

Head of the Class

Jolie Hoang-Rappaport has been cast as Makayla Washington, “a business-savvy, life-chronicling Insta-queen.”

She joins already cast Isabella Gomez.

Amy Pocha and Seth Cohen wrote the screenplays for the reimagined Head of the Class reboot.
