Jon Bernthal has been cast as Kaye, “who was arrested 18 years prior for murder and is struggling to find his footing in the LA sex industry while also seeking out the truth behind the frame-job that landed him in prison.”

David Hollander will write the screenplays for and direct the TV series.

Suspicion

Uma Thurman has been cast as an American businesswoman whose son is kidnapped.

This actress joins already cast: Kunal Nayyar, Noah Emmerich, Georgina Campbell, Elyes Gabel, Elizabeth Henstridge, and Angel Coulby.

Suspicion‘s plot synopsis: a remake of False Flag, “Twenty-one-year-old Leo’s abduction from a large, upmarket hotel in central New York is captured on video and goes viral. Swiftly, four British citizens staying at the hotel become the prime suspects. But are they guilty of any more than being in the wrong place at the wrong time?”

Chris Long will direct the TV series.

HBO MAX

Tokyo Vice

Rinko Kikuchi has been cast in an unspecified role in Toyko Vice.

This actress joins already cast: Odessa Young, Ella Rumpf, Ken Watanabe, and Ansel Elgort.

Tokyo Police‘s plot synopsis: based on the novel by Jake Adelstein, “Elgort will play an on-screen version of the author, an American journalist who embeds himself into the Tokyo Vice police squad to reveal corruption, chronicling his daily descent into the neon-soaked underbelly of Tokyo, where nothing is what it seems.”

J.T. Roger will write the screenplays for the Destin Daniel Cretton-directed TV series.

Dr. Death

AnnaSophia Robb has been cast as Michelle Shughart, “a bright, young Assistant District Attorney in Dallas who teams up with Robert Henderson (Baldwin) and Randall Kirby (Slater) to take down ‘Dr. Death.'”

Chris Sullivan has been cast as Jerry Summers, “Duntsch’s (Jamie Dornan) life-long friend and number one fan whose blind devotion lands him under Duntsch’s knife.”

These two actresses join already cast: Grace Gummer, Molly Griggs, Jamie Dornan, Alec Baldwin, and Christian Slater.

Dr. Death‘s plot synopsis: based on the Wondery’s podcast, “Dr. Death explores the twisted mind of a sociopath and the gross negligence of the system designed to protect the most defenseless among us. It tells the disturbing true story of Dr. Christopher Duntsch (Dornan), a rising star in the Dallas medical community. Young, charismatic and ostensibly brilliant, he was building a flourishing neurosurgery practice when everything suddenly changed. Patients entered his operating room for complex but routine spinal surgeries and left permanently maimed or dead. As victims piled up, two fellow surgeons (Baldwin and Slater) and a young Assistant District Attorney set out to stop him.”

Patrick Macmanus wrote the screenplays for the TV series.

Richard E. Grant has been cast in an unspecified role in Loki.

This actor joins already cast: Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, Owen Wilson, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.

Loki will premiere on Disney+ in Spring 2021.
