Eddie Marsan has been cast as Bernie Monke, a “North London crime boss and father to Roxy. A man who lives by his own moral logic, he finds his relationship with his daughter irrevocably changed by the Power.”

This actor joins already cast: John Leguizamo, Toheeb Jimoh, Ria Zmitrowicz, Halle Bush, Heather Agyepong, Nico Hiraga, Daniela Vega, Leslie Mann, and Auli’i Cravalho.

The Power‘s plot synopsis: based on the book by Naomi Alderman,”The world of The Power is our world, but for one twist of nature. Suddenly, and without warning, all teenage girls in the world develop the power to electrocute people at will. It’s hereditary, it’s inbuilt, and it can’t be taken away from them. Coming alive to the thrill of pure power: the ability to hurt or even kill by releasing electrical jolts from their fingertips, they rapidly learn they can awaken the Power in older women. Soon enough nearly every woman in the world can do it. And then everything is different.

The Underground Railroad

Lily Rabe has been cast as Ethel Wells, “Martin’s (Damon Herriman) wife and the mother of their daughter.”

This actress joins already cast: Thuso Mbedu, Aaron Pierre, and Chase W. Dillon.

The Underground Railroad‘s plot synopsis: based on the book by Colson Whitehead, “The Underground Railroad follows Cora, a slave on a cotton plantation in Georgia who is an outcast even amongst her fellow Africans and is struggling coming into womanhood when she meets Caesar, a recent arrival from Virginia who informs her of The Underground Railroad, inspiring them both to take the risk and escape to freedom.”

Barry Jenkins will direct all eleven episodes of the limited TV series.

Amazon Studios has not set a release date yet for The Underground Railroad.

Impeachment: American Crime Story

Betty Gilpin has been cast as Ann Coulter, the legal adviser for Paula Jones’ attorneys, who represented Jones in her sexual harassment suit against Bill Clinton.

This actress joins already cast: Billy Eichner, Sarah Paulson, Beanie Feldstein, Annaleigh Ashford, and Clive Owen.

Impeachment: American Crime Story‘s plot synopsis: based on the book by Jeffrey Toobin, the series “will center on former US president Bill Clinton’s infamous scandal and impeachment that happened during the 1990s… the series will unravel the national scandal that swept up Paula Jones, Monica Lewinsky, and Linda Tripp as principal characters in the country’s first impeachment proceedings in over a century. Lewinsky will serve as one of the producers.”

Impeachment: American Crime Story will begin airing on FX on September 27, 2020.
