Ross Marquand The Walking Dead Now

AMC‘s The Walking Dead Now Review. Walking With The Dead: The Walking Dead Podcast: Season 6, Episode 5: Now is an audio podcast review in which FilmBook contributor Steven Bueno and his team Kristian Cabrera and Cornell Montgomery (from The League of Ordinary Gentlemen) analyze and discuss their thoughts about the latest episode of AMC’s The Walking Dead.

The Walking Dead: Season 6, Episode 5: Now‘s plot synopsis (spoilers): “As the Alexandrians clean up the damage caused by the Wolves, Rick arrives barely ahead of the walker horde. With walkers at the gates, Rick tries to rally the Alexandrians to stay strong, reminding them that with only half the horde present, they cannot break through the walls. Aaron then admits to everybody that he inadvertently led the Wolves to Alexandria. With the walkers at the walls, morale among the Alexandrians begins to drop. Aaron decides to help Maggie search for Glenn and shows her an old sewer tunnel they can use to bypass the walkers. However, when they see the exit is blocked by walkers, Maggie gives up in despair. She reveals to Aaron that she is pregnant. Deanna and Spencer then get into an argument, with Spencer blaming Deanna’s idealism for getting Aidan and Reg killed. Carl approaches Ron for help in finding Enid, but Ron refuses, and threatens to inform Rick if Carl leaves Alexandria. Tara checks in on Denise, who is quickly losing her confidence in her abilities as a doctor. Tara simply advises Denise that “being afraid sucks”, and Denise manages to find a way to save Scott from his infected bullet wound. Elated, she goes back to Tara and kisses her. Jessie goes to check in on a neighbor, only to discover that she had committed suicide and turned into a walker. Jessie kills the walker and tells her fellow Alexandrians that they have to adapt to their new circumstances and fight to survive. Ron approaches Rick and tells him about Carl’s plans to search for Enid, and asks Rick to teach him how to shoot. That night, Deanna is walking on the street and is attacked by a walker. In a rage, she attacks it with a broken bottle just as Rick arrives. Deanna tells Rick that she wants Alexandria to survive, and asks him if she was foolish for being an idealist, to which Rick replies that she is not. Despite losing faith, Maggie refuses to believe Glenn is dead, and Aaron suggests naming her baby after him. Rick visits Jessie, and after a short talk, they begin to kiss. At the gate, Deanna stares at the walkers outside defiantly before walking away, failing to notice blood dripping from a crack in the wall.

I regularly keep up with Gotham, The Flash, Constantine, Daredevil, and Arrow along with any animated movie DC releases. I have no personal preference when it comes to any comic book company but am a fan of the visual genre in general. I grew up in the 90's and was lucky enough to grow up with both the Batman series and the Superman Animated series along with shows like Teen Titans and even kept up with short lived series like young justice. I regularly keep up with the latest news on future movie/television adaptations of comic books.
