X-MEN: APOCALYPSE (2016): Tom Hardy Eyed to Play Apocalypse

Tom Hardy

Tom Hardy Being Considered to Play Apocalypse in X-Men: Apocalypse. Knowing that Apocalypse would be the main villain in Bryan Singer’s next X-Men film, fans have been wondering who would play the all-powerful mutant. Well, rumors have been swirling that Tom Hardy is being targeted for the role.

Tom Hardy has been a hot commodity these days after the actor is being considered for roles from both DC and Marvel. Just last week, he was offered to play a member of DC’s Suicide Squad and as Doctor Strange for Marvel. The Wrap reported that Tom probably would only choose one comic book-based film to work on since Suicide Squad, X-Men: Apocalypse, and Doctor Strange will be released in the same year.

Tom Hardy may be able to pull off playing a villain since he played one before during his take as Bane in The Dark Knight Rises. It looks like maybe Tom may be well suited for Suicide Squad rather than X-Men: Apocalypse but only time will tell once the actor makes his decision. Tom has a busy year ahead of him as he has four movies out in 2015, including Child 44, Mad Max: Fury Road, Legend, and The Revenant.

Apocalypse appeared as a young pharaoh at the end of X-Men: Days of Future Past, teasing that the world’s first mutant would become the next main threat for the X-Men. X-Men: Apocalypse will be released on May 27, 2016.

So which role do you guys think Tom Hardy should go for?
