Zendaya’s Role in Spider-Man: Homecoming Possibly Revealed
It’s been mystery on who actress Zendaya will be playing in Spider-Man: Homecoming ever since she was cast, and now we may finally have our answer. At first, we found out that Zendaya was playing a character named Michelle, which led people to think she was playing Michelle Rodriguez. There were also rumors that she might be playing Mary Jane Watson. Thanks to the junior novelization of the film, it turns out that Zendaya’s character’s last name is Toomes, as in villain Adrian Toomes. So that basically means that she will play The Vulture’s daughter in the film. It actually lines up with what we’ve heard about Michael Keaton’s character, but it’s all just speculation from Movie Pilot. What are your thoughts on this?
Letitia Wright Discusses Role as Shuri in Black Panther
Letitia Wright will soon become a household name coming next year when Black Panther releases in February 2018. In the film, she plays Shuri, the sister of Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa. Shs didn’t know much of her history in the comics, but Letita says she’s been interested in her evolution as a character after reading for the role. Talking with Interview Magazine, she said:
She’s princess of Wakanda, but also she designs all of the new technology there. She has an innovative spirit and an innovative mind, and she wants to take Wakanda to a new place. Also, she has a great fashion sense, better than mine. She’s so vibrant; a beautiful spirit, but also so focused on what she does. And that’s good for other people to see, especially young people to see, because it’s like, ‘Look, there’s a young black girl who loves technology and she’s from Africa.‘ It’s something refreshing.
Perhaps we may bee Shuri taking on the mantle pretty soon in the future just like the comics. She has a bright mind, so we wouldn’t put it past her if she also wants to be involved in helping Wakanda grow. What do you think?
Hannah John-Kamen Cast in Mystery Role for Ant-Man and the Wasp
We have our first new cast member joining Ant-Man and the Wasp, starting with British actress Hannah John-Kamen. Variety reported that Game of Thrones’ Hannah John-Kamen will join Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, and other returning cast members in the upcoming sequel. Even though her character has been kept in the dark for now, the site did reveal that it’s an important role. It seems like Marvel has been searching for actresses to fill this part for a few months. Do you have any clue that she might be playing? Let us know what you think. Ant-Man and the Wasp is scheduled to be released on July 6, 2018.
Agents of SHIELD Won’t Resurrect Characters From The Framework
The fourth season of Agents of SHIELD came to a close just a few weeks back as Phil Coulson and the team managed to escape the Framework and defeated AIDA. Since our agents navigated the world within the Framework, we saw the return of some familiar faces from the series, including Brett Dalton’s Grant Ward and BJ Britt’s Antoine Triplett. Even though Ward and Tripp have been dead for a few seasons, since AIDA was able to make a body for herself, would it be possible to see some of these dead characters appear in the real world? According to EW, EP Jed Whedon revealed that due to scheduling or personal issues, it wouldn’t be possible to bring some of these characters back. Plus, we saw how AIDA reacted after getting used to her new body through the Darkhold. Here’s more on what Jed said:
[Due to] scheduling, or personal issues, or other shows that take our people away, it just didn’t work out. Aida rebuilt her body out of dark stuff from a dark, terrible universe, so she wasn’t exactly human. There was a Darkhold filter through which she came, so it seemed that anyone who came back that way was not, in fact, really themselves, but some corrupted version of themselves.
Are you bummed that we won’t see any of the past characters on the show in the new season?
