Ayo Edebiri On Board New Luca Guadagnino Film

Ayo Edebiri has joined the cast of Luca Guadagnino‘s forthcoming thriller film, After the Hunt which also stars heavy-hitters Julia Roberts and Andrew Garfield.

Ayo Edebiri may have be enjoying a hugely successful turn on F/X’s hit, “The Bear” but, now, Edebiri’s back in the movies again and is co-starring in the upcoming Luca Guadagnino film from Amazon MGM and Imagine, After the Hunt. Guadagnino is also currently enjoying a recent huge success with the adult-themed Zendaya movie, Challengers. Edebiri will add some uniquely terrific qualities as a character actress in the new role in After the Hunt, a film which features even more star power in the form of Julia Roberts and Andrew Garfield.

The plot of this new movie certainly sounds promising: A college professor finds her secrets having the possibility of coming out in the open when a student becomes involved in a heated dispute with another instructor. Edebiri’s role has not fully been revealed as of yet but it’s said to most likely be a central one in the forthcoming project.

In addition to the success of “The Bear,” Edebiri has come off a recent pair of hit movies which came out last summer: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem and Bottoms. When this summer officially kicks into gear, yet another season of “The Bear” will appear on F/X on June 27th. Edebiri has always been one of the most enjoyable parts of “The Bear.”

Edebiri is voicing the emotion of Envy in an animated sequel movie which is coming out even sooner than the new season of “The Bear” on June 14th, Inside Out 2. That picture looks likely to be a huge box-office hit for Disney. Edebiri has become one of the funniest, most energetic talents working today and will add a signature sense of humor to the role of Envy this summer at the movies.

The director of After the Hunt, Luca Guadagnino, has become one of the most intriguing filmmakers working these days. Following the mixed reactions to his dark dramatic film Bones and All, the director’s latest, now in release, is a heavy-duty tennis romance, Challengers. That picture has pulled out all the stops and has conquered the box-office and scored a considerable amount of favorable reviews in the interim.

Ayo Edebiri proved in the hilarious 2023 summer comedy, Bottoms that she had what it takes to pretty much carry an entire film. Edebiri is more than likely to be an important piece of the puzzle that is the plot of After the Hunt. What do Julia Roberts and Ayo Edebiri have in common? They both appeared in films featured on my 10 best list last year. Edebiri was in Bottoms while Roberts starred in the expertly crafted, Leave the World Behind. Expect these two stars to strut their acting chops in the highly anticipated After the Hunt.
