This Week

Passengers is one of the big releases this week but it is completely vapid film. Fences, on the other hand, is full of depth and some of the best performances by a-list actors during 2016. One of those performances was an Oscar winner. It could be argued that two of those performances were Oscar worthy.

From the trailers, Six looks like  a high-end Navy S.E.A.L. TV series while Z Nation: Season 3 is the continuation the zombie TV series that has somehow survived in the wake of The Walking Dead.

I haven’t seen Demon Seed since I was a teen but I remember how twisted the last two acts of the film are. Red Dawn, Firestarter, and Ghost in the Shell are all classics. I was actually able to see Red Dawn in-theater when I was child. I loved it. It was so realistic. Even-though it was a terrible situation, you wanted to be a part of it,  part of the resistance.
