This will be Joby Harold’s first television series screenwriting position, but he has written successful projects such as King Arthur: Legend of the Sword and Awake. He is most known for his part in executive producing the films: John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, Robin Hood, and Edge of Tomorrow. After the massive success of Disney Plus’ The Mandalorian, the next series that Star Wars fans were most looking forward to was this series which focuses on the legendary Jedi-master, Obi-Wan Kenobi. There has not been a set release on what the series will focus on plot wise or what the series will be titled, but the character’s name on the project alone, is enough for this series to already have fans more than excited for it. The project had been set to begin production in August 2020, but due to behind the scene’s negotiations and search for a new writer production will start in January 2021. Ewan McGregor will reprise his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi, having played the character for three films in the Star Wars saga, which fans are even more ecstatic about. With the COVID-19 pandemic going on right now with an unsure ending to the stay-at-home order which caused several Hollywood projects to shut down production, Harold should have more than enough time to polish the scripts for the highly anticipated series. May the force be with you, Joby Harold!
