VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN (2015) Movie Poster: The UK Poster is Alive

Victor Frankenstein UK Poster Arrives

Victor Frankenstein Poster Arrives. There’s a new regional poster for Paul McGuigan‘s latest film, Victor Frankenstein – a new take on the classic Mary Shelley story, penned by the successful, edgy new kid on the block, Max Landis. This one’s for the U.K.The film already has a trailer, two, in fact: one of them is wacky, comedic, and falls fairly flat for me, whereas the other one is far more intriguing and atmospheric. Posters, trailers, all of these marketing ploys are regionalized and targeted at specific audiences. Check out the U.S. trailer here (the inferior, reductive one) and the U.K. trailer here (far better, in my opinion).

In any case, we now have a U.K. poster for this film, and it looks…completely average. I’m more sold on the source material for this, the casting, and the production design, than anything on this poster. I’m already sold – and I hope I’m not getting my hopes up. If the U.K. trailer is any indication, there’s a good chance this’ll be very much worth watching. I’m such a sucker for great, spooky production design, and classical horror.

I grew up in Hamburg to a German father and Ecuadorian mother. Obsessive student of film, Hip-Hop, and stand-up comedy. I love the dark dreambox that is the cinema auditorium. I love mountains and the ocean, but am equally exhilarated by the jungle of the city. I hope to one day create something that hits someone in the brain with thunderous effect.
