GREEN ROOM (2015) Movie Poster: Imogen Poots & Anton Yelchin Fight Skinheads

Green Room Poster Arrives

Green Room Movie Poster Arrives. Jeremy Saulnier‘s Green Room (2015) arrives in theaters this year, and there are several reasons to get excited for this project I haven’t heard of until today. In the event you’re unfamiliar with the director of this movie, I highly recommend brushing up on Blue Ruin (2013). That should get you excited enough for any future work by him. Secondly, this movie features Anton Yelchin and Imogen Poots in a punk rock band, which sounds fucking awesome. Maybe I just miss the musicality and energy of the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World movie, but I can’t wait to see these two play a small punk show, sweating, screaming, letting it all out. And then, thirdly, we have the actual premise: The punk band is trapped at a venue and in life or death danger of being killed by a group of skinheads. If that doesn’t get your blood boiling and ready to throw down, I don’t know what will. As for the cherry on top? Patrick Stewart plays Darcy Banker, the leader of a white supremacist group. Does this have your attention?

According to FirstShowing, “It’s about a young punk rock band, comprised of Anton Yelchin and Imogen Poots (seen above), who find themselves trapped in a secluded venue after stumbling upon some skinheads. The film is apparently extremely violent, but earned rave reviews at its Cannes premiere. Saulnier also got an upgrade on the cast – Patrick Stewart, Alia Shawkat, Mark Webber are all in this, too. That’s probably why this isn’t being pushed as a main poster, but damn is it still a fine poster”

I agree, this poster rules. This movie is now officially on my radar.

I grew up in Hamburg to a German father and Ecuadorian mother. Obsessive student of film, Hip-Hop, and stand-up comedy. I love the dark dreambox that is the cinema auditorium. I love mountains and the ocean, but am equally exhilarated by the jungle of the city. I hope to one day create something that hits someone in the brain with thunderous effect.
