A Quiet Place Part III Pushed Back a Few Weeks
A Quiet Place Part III is going to be released theatrically on July 30, 2027, a date which is coming after its originally scheduled unveiling date of July 9.
John Krasinski’s upcoming sequel, A Quiet Place Part III, may not have a definitive cast attached to it yet, but its studio, Paramount Pictures, is planning its theatrical release date. On July 9th, 2027, the original planned release date, James Gunn’s Man of Tomorrow is set to open which possibly scared Paramount to the point of pushing their horror sequel three weeks back to July 30th of the same year.
It all makes sense. James Gunn’s Superman was one of the biggest hits this past summer and it is expected that the sequel, Man of Tomorrow, will be just as good and should rake up similar cash as the first film at the box-office. So, far A Quiet Place Part III is not guaranteed to feature all of the cast members from the last film. In fact, IMDb only lists Millicent Simmonds as a cast member of the movie at this particular point in time. This film is still in development whereas Man of Tomorrow seems to be shaping up quicker from a casting standpoint with seven stars on the IMDb page for that film. Though A Quiet Place Part III isn’t officially cast yet, speculation has arisen that star Emily Blunt will return in her heroic role within the series yet another time.
A Quiet Place Part II raked up money at the box-office in 2021 at the time of the pandemic with $160 million domestically and another $137 million internationally. This forthcoming third part in the series (not counting A Quiet Place: Day One) should be bulletproof at the box-office, but it’s definitely not as bulletproof as the Superman franchise is. Man of Tomorrow may have the front loaded box-office that DC movies tend to typically have, but by July 30th, many feel it could cool down just enough to let A Quiet Place Part III rip into some of those box-office dollars that will be up for grabs in July, 2027.
Right now, John Krasinski is writing, producing and directing the third A Quiet Place film. That much is certain. As for further casting and plot details, mum is the word at this particular point in time. We will have to wait a little longer for Krasinski to break his silence on the casting prospects for the new threequel that is due out in late July, 2027.
