Jamie Lee Curtis Starts Shooting Halloween Ends

Jamie Lee Curtis has revealed that she is working on the last film in the Michael Myers horror film series, Halloween Ends.

The title says it all. Halloween Ends. This “killer” franchise, which started back in 1978, is set to come to a close with the completion of what is expected to be final picture in the long-respected Halloween horror movie series. It has been revealed that the film’s star, Jamie Lee Curtis has started making the upcoming sequel to Halloween Kills which was released last year. While this may be her last turn as Laurie Strode, fans are nonetheless excited about the upcoming film which is due later this year. Hmm. When? Maybe around Halloween, you say? Good guess.

Plans to continue the series after Halloween Ends are unconceived at this time and depending on what events take place in the forthcoming movie, it could well mark the end of the immensely popular franchise once and for all. This comes as no surprise as the movie was leaning towards this notion at the end of Halloween Kills which presented and pronounced Michael Myers as unable to die. Fans are nevertheless curious to see what happens in Halloween Ends.

It was recently revealed that Curtis posted an image of herself on Twitter on-set of the Blumhouse produced (most likely final) chapter of the Halloween films. Curtis is seen in the image with long blonde hair and glasses but she looks like she’s just getting warmed up to play Laurie another time in this revealing picture.

David Gordon Green, who directed Halloween Kills, will once again be helming the new picture. This third film in the recent Halloween trilogy comes with a lot of buzz as some fans were disappointed by last year’s film. This latest upcoming picture will be set 4 years after that aforementioned sequel from last year. Maybe Michael Myers will have earned a diploma in those four years and can now get a real job. That’s just a joke in case you didn’t know but 4 years is a long time so it will be interesting to see how the characters develop especially Curtis’ Laurie.

Jason Blum of Blumhouse didn’t say that this is the definitive end of Michael Myers, but he did point out no other films in the series are being planned at this time. Halloween Ends will make its way to movie theaters on October 14, 2022 just in time for–you guessed it–Halloween. We’ll see once and for all what fate has in store for Myers and Laurie when this film is revealed to the public. Curtis fans couldn’t be more excited.
