Lauren Cohan Jeffrey Dean Morgan Comic Con

Negan Smith (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Maggie Rhee (Lauren Cohan) should prove to be unstoppable on The Walking Dead: Dead City – Season 2. The pair spoke at Comic Con and details were revealed that were quite fascinating. For one, Cohan has found herself behind the camera directing this season. She cited one of her influences to be another director of a previous show in The Walking Dead Universe, Lennie James. Morgan has become more and more excited over the years as this series continues to expand and grow.

Zeljko Ivanek also was among those sitting on the very passionate panel of stars. New additions to the cast have been named, including Kim Coates who received accolades at the convention from Cohan. Keir Gilchrist is among the other new cast members who will be joining the program as well. Cohan passionately expressed her gratitude for the ability to be able to work on the show and do what she does. She and the always terrific Morgan seemed to have a wonderful rapport together. There was a short clip shown of Negan Smith in an abandoned church that played like gangbusters at the convention. The fact that these The Walking Dead shows have continued to be as popular as they are is in large part due to the dedication of cast members such as Morgan and Cohan who have continued to wow viewers over the years.

Robert Rodriguez Comic Con

Famed director Robert Rodriguez moderated the panel for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol. Rodriguez made the horror flick, From Dusk Till Dawn. Melissa McBride and Norman Reedus discussed in detail their bond on the program and the way the characters of Daryl Dixon (Reedus) and Carol Peletier (McBride) have developed over the course of the show. Without getting overly sensitive regarding the nature of their unbreakable bond, the two were revealed to be involved in a major plot development which will occur on Sunday night’s show. The first 14-minutes of this season’s episode 4 were unveiled at Comic Con. For those wondering the significance of the major plot thread which will be forthcoming, don’t hesitate to tune in. You will not be disappointed. Carol kicks ass as usual on Sunday night’s show, judging from the clip we saw at the convention. She rides away from zombies and does what would be expected from her compelling character in this action-packed show.

The Walking Dead Universe has proven to be a constant in the world of television. Comic Con has prepared viewers for the new worlds that will soon take effect on the shows. Performers Reedus and McBride and Morgan and Cohan remain the most valuable players on these two shows and they should carry the new episodes to success.
