PRINCE CHARMING: Chris Hemsworth To Star as Titular Character in Upcoming Disney Film

Chris Hemsworth To Star in Prince Charming Film From Disney
Chris Hemsworth is in talks to star as Prince Charming in new Disney film from Paul King focusing on the iconic character.
With no plot details thus far, Prince Charming is set to be a fresh change from the Disney princess films of old, centred on the male love interest instead. While many of the Disney princesses have royal and princely love interests, Prince Charming is in fact specifically Cinderella’s love interest from Cinderella. Again, while no specifics have been revealed, perhaps the film will focus specifically on the character from Cinderella, or perhaps simply the role of the Disney Princess love interest as a whole.
Hemsworth, on board to star in this role, has had a varied career, recently starring in Mad Max Furiosa as a domineering villain, and even more recently as a voice actor for Optimus Prime in Transformers One. The hunk and heartthrob that he is, Hemsworth will no doubt be an excellent choice to play a charming prince, having taken roles as handsome and dashing men in his career such as Thor for Marvel and the Huntsman in Snow White and the Huntsman.
Helmed by Paul King, Prince Charming is set to be a wonderous and enchanting adventure, with King having directed the adorable Paddington films and more recently 2023’s Wonka, which saw huge box office success. Hemsworth will no doubt fit perfectly into a role steered by King fresh off the back of Wonka, an origin story for another iconic male character played by a beloved heartthrob (Timothée Chalamet).
Simon Farnaby and Jon Croker are also co-writing the film with King for Disney, and the film is currently in development. Disney is yet to make any comment on Hemsworth’s official involvement.
