The Screen Actors Guild 2011 Award nominations ballots were mailed out on November 24, 2010 to the nominating committees for this year’s SAG Awards for film and television. 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards Committee “votes for nominees [and] may be cast online or via mailed paper ballot. Votes must be received by the Guild’s official teller, Integrity Voting Systems, by Monday, Dec. 13, 2010 at 5 p.m (PT).” The 2010 performance nominees “will be chosen by two separate film and television nominating panels, each comprised of 2,100 SAG members from across the United States that were randomly selected in April 2010.” The actual nomination requests fro consideration “in a category of the actor’s choosing were submitted by actors or, with the actor’s permission, by producers, studios/networks, agents, managers or publicists.”
For the nominating committee members, final “voting information will be mailed via postcard to all eligible voting members of the Screen Actors Guild on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010…All votes must be received at Integrity Voting Systems by noon on Friday, Jan. 28, 2011. Results will be sealed until they are opened onstage at the 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards ceremony.”
The 2011 SAG nominations “will be announced at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010 at 6 a.m. (PT)/9 a.m. (ET), telecast live on TNT and webcast live on tnt.tv and tbs.com. SAG Award 2011 winners will be announced on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, simulcast live from the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center on TNT and TBS at 8 p.m. (ET)/5 p.m. (PT).
