Star Trek Beyond TV Spots and Movie Clip
Four new TV commercials and a movie clip for Star Trek Beyond (2016) have been released for the Justin Lin directed film. The TV spots are entitled ‘Bold,’ ‘Last Report,’ ‘Discover,’ and ‘Unity’ respectively. In the ‘Unity’ spot, an alien quips “Unity is not your strength” while Kirk tells Spock that they make a”good team.” The ‘Discover’ and ‘Unity’ TV spots are almost identical expect for a few new scenes and the alien quip. The ‘Last Report’ spot features Captain Kirk giving his last report before the Enterprise if destroyed. The ‘Bold’ spot features captured members of the Enterprise speaking with their captives.
Rihanna’s single “Sledgehammer” plays over the majority of the TV spots.
The Star Trek Beyond movie clip evolves the break-up of two key characters in the film.
Star Trek Beyond‘s plot synopsis: “In “Beyond,” the Enterprise crew explores the furthest reaches of uncharted space, where they encounter a mysterious new enemy who puts them and everything the Federation stands for to the test.”
