Y: The Last Man

Barry Keoghan has stepped away from the lead role of Yorick Brown in Y: The Last Man.

Diane Lane, Imogen Poots, Lashana Lynch, Juliana Canfield, Marin Ireland, and Amber Tamblyn still star in the DC Comics adaptation.

HBO Max

Friends (Reunion Special)

Following tough negotiations, I hear Friends stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry have reached an agreement in principle with series’ producer Warner Bros. TV to do what I hear would be an hourlong special. No one would comment, but I hear each of the six stars will be paid in the $3 million-$4 million range for appearing in the special.

DMZ

Benjamin Bratt has been cast as Parco Delgado, “the popular — and deadly — leader of one of the most powerful gangs in the DMZ. He wants to rule the DMZ and will stop at nothing to secure that outcome. Delgado is known as a wildly magnetic, affable and equally influential man.”

DMZ‘s plotline: based on the comic book series by Brian Wood and Riccardo Burchielli, “DMZ is set in the near future where America is embroiled in a bitter civil war, leaving Manhattan a demilitarized zone, destroyed and isolated from the rest of the world. DMZ chronicles the harrowing journey of fierce medic Alma Ortega (Dawson), who saves lives while desperately searching for her lost son. As she contends with the gangs, militias, demagogues and warlords who control this lawless no man’s land, she becomes the unlikely source of what everyone has lost: hope.”

Roberto Patino wrote the screenplays for the Ava DuVernay-directed TV series.

The CW

All American

Erica Peeples has been cast as “a mysterious character moving back to South L.A.”

Fox

Deputy

Miguel Angel Garcia has been cast as Wyatt, “the handsome new boyfriend of Maggie (Valeria Jauregui).”

Showtime

First Ladies

SHOWTIME has given a series order to the first season of the hour-long drama FIRST LADIES, starring and executive produced by Oscar, Emmy and Tony® winner Viola Davis, who will play former first lady Michelle Obama. Produced by SHOWTIME and Lionsgate Television, the series will also be executive produced by Julius Tennon, Oscar winner Cathy Schulman (Crash, Five Feet Apart), Jeff Gaspin (Rhythm + Flow, L.A.’s Finest), Brad Kaplan (Mr. Church) and author Aaron Cooley (Four Seats: A Thriller of the Supreme Court), who created the series and will write. The announcement was made today by Jana Winograde, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc.

In the East Wing of the White House, many of history’s most impactful and world-changing decisions have been hidden from view, made by America’s charismatic, complex and dynamic first ladies. This series will peel back the curtain on the personal and political lives of these enigmatic women, with season one focusing on Eleanor Roosevelt, Betty Ford and Michelle Obama.

“Throughout our history, presidents’ spouses have wielded remarkable influence, not only on the nation’s leaders but on the country itself.” said Winograde. “FIRST LADIES fits perfectly within the SHOWTIME wheelhouse of drama and politics, revealing how much personal relationships impact both domestic and global events. Having Viola Davis play Michelle Obama is a dream come true, and we couldn’t be luckier to have her extraordinary talent to help launch this series.”

Paramount Network

Coyote

Mark Feuerstein has been cast as Frank Kerr, “a successful psychologist, married to Ben’s (Michael Chiklis) ex-wife.”

Kelli Williams has been cast as Jill Kerr, “Ben’s ex-wife and the mother of their 23-year-old daughter, Kate.”

Daniel Mora is Mazo Zamora, “older brother of cartel boss, in a power struggle for control over the family business.”

Emy Mena has been cast as Maria Elena Flores, “a pregnant teenager who finds herself in some trouble.”

George Pullar has been cast as Garrett Cox, “a mentee of retired border agent Ben Clemens and as close to a work friend as Ben’s got.”

Amy Forsyth has been cast as Kate Clemens, “Ben’s daughter who can go toe to toe with him.”

Ross Phillips has been cast as Jack Conway, “a castaway expat.”

Romina D’Ugo has been cast as Esme Gallo, “an artist in Mexico.”

Natalia Cordova-Buckley has been cast as Paloma Zamora, “a politically connected socialite connected to the cartel.”

Bobby Daniel Rodriguez has been cast as Lugo Peralta, “an HSI Agent.”

Jose Pablo Cantillo has been cast as Javi Lopez, “former partner and best friend to Ben.”

Drew Powell has been cast as Joe Don Walker, “the chief agent at the border patrol office.”

Coyote‘s plot synopsis: “Coyote is the story of Ben Clemens (Chiklis), who, after 32 years as a border patrol agent, is forced to work for the very people he spent his career trying to keep out of America. Now exposed to life on the other side of the wall, Ben will start to question his black-and-white views of the world, challenging his ideology and his loyalties.”

David Graziano, Michael Carnes, and Josh Gilbert wrote the screenplays for TV series.

Michelle MacLaren directed the pilot episode for the TV series.
