Idina Menzel will Return in Frozen III

It is now official that Idina Menzel will reprise her vocal work as Elsa in the latest animated tentpole from Disney, Frozen III.

It’s the tentpole movie we all knew was coming and it’s finally making a step in the right direction. Idina Menzel has confirmed that she will be returning as the voice of Elsa in the latest Frozen picture. It is not clear, however, what the story line will be for the new animated juggernaut.

Elsa and Anna will be back on the big screen soon enough even though there’s no certainty as to what, exactly, will be happening in the third Frozen movie. It is pretty easy to guess that everyone’s favorite snowman, Olaf, will most likely be back but any other guesses here are purely arbitrary.

Frozen II made about half a billion dollars domestically and secured close-ups of Elsa and Anna’s faces would be on lunch boxes and book bags of kids all throughout the country. So, it’s no surprise that Menzel is going to get the chance to voice Elsa yet again. The actress, Menzel, made an appearance recently in the Disney Plus sequel, Disenchanted, which is not on the same level as the Frozen movies in terms of popularity but that recent film proved that Menzel could kill time doing other projects while waiting to belt out tunes as Elsa in another Frozen picture. Disenchanted only mustered up a mere 36% Rotten Tomatoes approval rating so Menzel could be itching to get into character as Elsa as soon as possible.

While John Travolta accidentally called Menzel “Adele Dazeem” at an Oscars ceremony several years back, it was an awkward moment, to be sure. It seems that Menzel has certainly “let it go,” though. In 2025, when Frozen III is due out, kids will have a choice and can ask themselves, “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” outside or go see the latest chapter of Elsa and Anna’s adventures. “For the First Time in Forever,” an animated movie could do phenomenally huge numbers that rival even the biggest of live-action box-office hits. “Love is an Open Door” for these movies. And, many years down the line, there could even be a live-action Frozen movie. That’s the one that could be the biggest of all of them!

Kristen Bell had hinted that a Frozen III was coming in previous interviews. Menzel is certainly confirmed to be back in the series and there is little doubt that Bell will play Anna once again in Frozen III too. The script could be basically nothing but Elsa and Anna singing any particular set of songs and the result would probably yield half a billion dollars at the worldwide box-office. But, Disney expects more so the new script is in progress for what could be the best Frozen movie yet!
