FROZEN III (2027): The Third FROZEN Film Eyes Thanksgiving Weekend 2027 Release Date

Frozen III is Getting Ready to Melt the Competition in 2027
Disney has officially announced that their long-awaited third picture in the Frozen franchise will be opening the Wednesday before Thanksgiving…in 2027.
If you were hoping to see a third Frozen movie in the next couple of years, you’ll have to “let it go” and understand that the third installment will not be in theaters until November 24, 2027. Mark your calendars…when that year gets a bit closer. For now, it may be wise to catch up with the first two Frozen pictures- if you’re the one or two people out there who didn’t see them, yet. “For the first time in forever” watching the previous ones will be a joy and, in addition, newborn babies now have three years to grow to an age where they could possibly see their first movie. Let’s face it- babies born in 2024 will most likely experience their first traditional movie-going experience in 2027 with Frozen III.
However, it’s not just little kids who made the previous two Frozen movies box-office juggernauts. Their parents and siblings loved them as well. However, most of the major script details for the new Frozen installment are under lock and key at this particular time. Due to contracts, most of the original voice-over cast will probably be returning for the third Frozen picture although there may be a new voice or two added if Disney wants to keep the franchise fresh and interesting. Could you imagine a wicked villain voiced by a major actress like Cate Blanchett, or Glenn Close? How about Javier Bardem as a villain if it was a guy baddie? Truth be told, though, the Frozen movies aren’t typically about villains. They tend to be a bit more innocuous than that. With or without a villain, Frozen III will be huge with a capital ‘H’ so it’s up to Disney if they want to pay a new star alongside the older ones.
But, the box-office numbers for the Frozen movies tell the bigger story. It’s basically a billion dollars in the bag at the worldwide box-office for a film within this property. Disney may not have to make it bigger and better to make another billion. They just have to make it.
Consequently, Hoppers, a Pixar movie about a human brain that finds itself in a beaver is coming out in early March of 2026. That’s another one you’ll have to wait for a later calendar to pencil in. That one may move its date being that an animated reboot of The Cat in the Hat is scheduled to open the same day as Hoppers. If both movies open on the same day, it’s anyone’s guess which will prevail but that probably won’t happen.
Elsa, Anna and Olaf and company will most likely return for Frozen III. This website will report news of the development of the casting and the official plot of Frozen III when such information becomes available.
