Award Winning Actress Isabelle Fuhrman Joins Cast of Horizon

Isabelle Fuhrman has recently been added to the high profile cast of Kevin Costner’s upcoming western epic film, Horizon.

You’ve seen her in the Orphan movies but Isabelle Fuhrman can hold her own outside of playing the lead role in those two horrific pictures in that film series. She won an award for Best Actress at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2021 for her somber intense turn in the critically acclaimed drama, The Novice. She’s now joining heavy hitters such as Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, Luke Wilson, Jena Malone, and Michael Rooker (to name just a few) in the forthcoming western Horizon which is set around the time of the Civil War.

Kevin Costner has returned to making the kind of epic film that put him on the map as one of Hollywood’s biggest stars back in 1990 when the filmmaker made the Oscar winning Dances with Wolves. The addition of Fuhrman to the cast of Horizon raised an eyebrow or two in Hollywood because Fuhrman is finally taking on another role in a major production after having appeared in the blockbuster action picture, The Hunger Games.

Fuhrman is such a notable talent that she gets credit even when she doesn’t seem to actually be in much of the movie. For example, some sources cited her as a star of Escape Room: Tournament of Champions but I, for one, didn’t even notice her being in the movie when I reviewed it last summer. I am a big Fuhrman fan but thought I somehow missed her in that particular film. Deadline reported in a recent article that she was in it, so I thought I may have blinked or something during the movie. Apparently, she was in a scene cut from the original picture that resurfaced. Yet, last summer Fuhrman was on a search engine as the star of the show!

Recently, Fuhrman made waves with her terrific turn in Orphan: First Kill. A twisty sequel to the 2009 movie Orphan, the sequel has won much acclaim and has even scared up some bucks at the box-office despite premiering on Paramount Plus at the same time it was released in theaters.

Costner’s new epic, Horizon, is going to be one of the most anticipated films of his entire career. Fuhrman and the rest of the cast assembled have all been entrusted with parts in a production which is certainly destined to be one of the most talked about Costner pictures of all-time.

Just for the record, Fuhrman has not been resting on her laurels at all these days. She’s going to be appearing opposite screen veteran Dennis Quaid in Littlemouth, and also will be featured in a movie called Sheroes and a thriller film called Unit 237. Fuhrman is certainly a talent to contend with and given her new part in Horizon, she will certainly prove she’s a lot more than just your scary Orphan star.
