A PAW Patrol 3 is Going to Happen

Paramount Pictures has given another PAW Patrol movie a “go” even before the official release of the second movie in the series which opens Friday.

In 2026, a third PAW Patrol movie will be coming out. This information wouldn’t come as much of a surprise if the second film had opened and done well at the box-office. Thanks to great reviews, however, Paramount most likely has the confidence to believe that the second movie will do well financially. That second film is called PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie. While Marshall the dog may be the most popular character in the series, audiences are discovering that the other characters such as Ryder can be just as charming to the young kids who love the animated series the movies are based on.

Cal Brunker directed both PAW Patrol movies so far. He will be making the third film as well. The first movie in the theatrical film series, PAW Patrol: The Movie, earned a solid “A-” CinemaScore when it was released in 2021. However, the pandemic kept some audiences at home who would have otherwise gone out to see it. Still, the movie earned a respectable $40 million domestically. However, the big news was that the first film made $104 million internationally suggesting that these PAW Patrol movies could have the potential to perform even better overseas.

With the pandemic behind us, PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie looks likely to perform much better domestically than its predecessor at the box-office. The glowing reviews are proof that the animators and Canadian director Brunker have made something that will appeal to a mainstream audience. With at least two weeks to itself as the big family movie in theaters, PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie could see $60-$80 million domestically by the time all the final box-office numbers are tallied.

PAW Patrol toys are definitely going to start moving off the shelves at toy stores this weekend when the sequel is released. A third movie in the franchise will certainly keep these toys relevant as the years progress. While the exact story line is not yet known, it is clear that Brunker knows what works judging from the glowing feedback he has received from critics regarding PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie.

The impressive vocal talents in PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie include Taraji P. Henson, Kristen Bell, Mckenna Grace, Lil Rel Howery, James Marsden and Chris Rock. Kim Kardashian, is among the voice talent reprising their roles from the original film in the sequel. Look out for the third movie in 2026 and be sure to catch the new sequel this Friday at a theater near you.
