Ryan Gosling Exits 2027 Prestige Project from the Acclaimed Directors of EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE
Ryan Gosling Leaves Oscar Bait 2027 Universal Project
Ryan Gosling has stepped away from the upcoming 2027 prestige project from Everything Everywhere All at Once directors, the Daniels.
Oscar winners for directing 2022’s Everything Everywhere All at Once, Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, have found their latest big screen project has been unintentionally abandoned by its proposed star, Ryan Gosling, due to a scheduling conflict for the very famous Project Hail Mary actor, Gosling. That leaves the role Gosling was set to play up for grabs and another actor will be happy to obtain the part in order to star in the big Thanksgiving 2027 release from the Daniels which is being made by Universal Pictures.
Though this untitled event movie is now seeking a new star, it was slated to start shooting this summer. While right now, there aren’t any expected delays as of yet, the casting issue could become a problem in order to get the project off the ground quickly and shot and edited in time for its Thanksgiving 2027-set release date.
Meanwhile, Gosling is reigning supreme in movie theaters with his new science-fiction space film, Project Hail Mary, which has received almost unanimous excellent reviews and seems poised for Oscar glory at this particular point in time even though it is a bit early in the year to accurately predict if it will “go” all year long and into next year’s awards ceremonies. Still, Gosling’s latest starrer is earning triumphant box-office grosses and nabbed a nearly perfect “A” CinemaScore grade. “A+” would have been perfect but the “A” was certainly close enough. Project Hail Mary has earned nearly $200 million domestically so far and an additional $200 million internationally after just over two weeks of big screen play.
The Daniels are expected to be bringing their “A” game to this upcoming November 2027-launching picture. No plot details have been made available as of yet, but Universal plans on putting their marketing muscle behind the film Gosling was supposed to star in as it is a release that is coming out during one of the busiest movie-going times of the year. Gosling was said to really have liked that film’s script. The Daniels won acclaim behind their wildest dreams with the 2022 movie from A24, Everything Everywhere All at Once and moviegoers are anxious to see if the directors will have another Oscar-caliber film in the works after their previous aforementioned effort from A24 virtually swept the 2023 Oscars ceremony.
Gosling will be seen in May 2027 in Star Wars: Starfighter, a stand-alone Star Wars picture that will co-star Amy Adams and Mia Goth. Not that Gosling needs much help from his co-stars these days to help him carry a movie. Project Hail Mary is almost 95% carried single-handedly by Gosling’s Oscar-caliber turn and many expect him to receive another Academy Award nomination for Best Actor for his work in the current box-office hit that is currently playing like gangbusters to crowds all over the world.
