Best Actress Nominee Ana de Armas is Among the Presenters for the 2023 Golden Globes Awards Ceremony

Ana de Armas and Other Celebrities Set to Present at Golden Globes

Ana de Armas and several other notable stars will be presenting at the 80th Golden Globes on January 10th.

The Golden Globe nominee for Blonde, Ana de Armas, will be one of the high-profile celebrities who will be presenting at the 80th awards ceremony for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Other presenters will include the great Jamie Lee Curtis who stunned the movie world with her fine turn this year in Everything Everywhere All at Once, not to mention acclaimed filmmaker Quentin Tarantino. Nicole Byer, the versatile Colman Domingo, Natasha Lyonne, Billy Porter and Tracy Morgan are also scheduled to present at the ceremony to be held next week.

While de Armas, with her large role in Blonde, is, perhaps, the most prestigious film nominee to present this year, Lee Curtis is a close second. Both of these performers amazed the movie world with their remarkable roles this year in their respective nominated performances.

Although a nominee for the hit film, The Whale, Brendan Fraser is not showing up to the ceremony for personal reasons, but he is likely to win Best Actor in a dramatic film for his towering performance in that acclaimed movie. Austin Butler, another Best Actor nominee for Elvis, will be at the ceremony, though. Steven Spielberg and his The Fabelmans team should be at the event as well as Daniel Craig whose Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery is one of Netflix’s biggest current hits.

On the television side, expect some big stars to show up for the Golden Globes ceremony, including Kevin Costner (Yellowstone), scream queen Jenna Ortega (Wednesday), Jean Smart, Julia Garner, Kaley Cuoco and Jessica Chastain, to name just a few.

Although the Golden Globes faced some backlash over the lack of diversity in its membership (which even prompted Tom Cruise to return his Golden Globe awards), this ceremony is still regarded as an indicator of which films will be nominated for and receive Academy Awards at the Oscars.

Hugh Jackman is up for Best Actor in a dramatic film for his work in The Son but is unable to attend the ceremony due to a conflicting acting gig in New York. Also not in attendance will be big stars Diego Luna and John Lithgow. At this year’s Golden Globes ceremony, Eddie Murphy will be given the prestigious Cecil B. DeMille award.

The Fabelmans and Everything Everywhere All at Once are positioned as front runners in the movie race at the Globes but anything can happen as past year’s ceremonies have proved. Tom Cruise’s Top Gun: Maverick is up for Best Picture at the Golden Globes this year as well but Cruise won’t have to worry about winning and giving the HFPA another award back. Cruise was snubbed for Best Actor for his work in the picture.
