Tron: Ares was Second at the United States box office over the weekend with $11.1 Million (a 66% drop from last weekend) for $54.5 Million so far. Worldwide, the film has made $102.9 Million, on a production budget (not including marketing costs) of $180 Million.

Good Fortune premiered in Third Place at the United States box office over the weekend with $6.2 Million, on a production budget (not including marketing costs) of $30 Million.

One Battle After Another was Fourth at the United States box office over the weekend with $4 Million (a 41% drop from last weekend) for $61.9 Million so far. Worldwide, the film has made $162.5 Million, on a production budget (not including marketing costs) of $130-175 Million.

Roofman was Fifth at the United States box office over the weekend with $3.7 Million (a 54% drop from last weekend) for $15.5 Million so far. Worldwide, the film has made $16.1 Million, on a production budget (not including marketing costs) of $17-19 Million.

These films: Truth & Treason, Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie, The Conjuring: Last Rites, After the HuntDemon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle rounded out the top ten respectively.

Black Phone 2 is a 2025 American supernatural horror film directed by Scott Derrickson from a script he co-wrote with C. Robert Cargill, and produced by Jason Blum. It serves as a sequel to The Black Phone (2021). The film stars Ethan Hawke, Mason Thames, Madeleine McGraw, and Jeremy Davies reprising their roles with Demián Bichir joined the cast.

Good Fortune is a 2025 American supernatural comedy film written and directed by Aziz Ansari in his feature directorial debut. Seth Rogen, Ansari, Keke Palmer, Sandra Oh and Keanu Reeves star in the film. It is produced by Garam Films, Oh Brudder Productions, Keep Your Head, and Yang Pictures. It follows an angel named Gabriel (Reeves), whose failed attempt to show Arj (Ansari), a struggling man, that money doesn’t solve one’s problems—by body swapping him with his wealthy employer Jeff (Rogen)—results in Gabriel losing his wings, while the work he did as an angel begins to unravel around them.

Truth & Treason is a 2025 American drama film based on the true story of Helmuth Hübener, a teenage resistance fighter who opposed the Nazi regime in Germany during WWII. The film was previously titled Truth & Conviction.

“A box office or ticket office is a place where tickets are sold to the public for admission to an event. Patrons may perform the transaction at a countertop, through a hole in a wall or window, or at a wicket.

By extension, the term is frequently used, especially in the context of the film industry, as a metonym for the amount of business a particular production, such as a film or theatre show, receives. The term is also used to refer to a ticket office at an arena or a stadium.

Box office business can be measured in the terms of the number of tickets sold or the amount of money raised by ticket sales (revenue). The projection and analysis of these earnings is greatly important for the creative industries and often a source of interest for fans. This is predominant in the Hollywood movie industry.

To determine if a movie made a profit, it is not correct to directly compare the box office gross with the production budget, because the movie theater keeps nearly half of the gross on average. The split varies from movie to movie, and the percentage for the distributor is generally higher in early weeks.

Usually the distributor gets a percentage of the revenue after first deducting a “house allowance” or “house nut”. It is also common that the distributor gets either a percentage of the gross revenue, or a higher percentage of the revenue after deducting the nut, whichever is larger.
