Weekend Impressions

Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be Number One at the box office over the weekend for the third week in a row. The new films coming out this weekend and the films that opened last weekend don’t have the tent-pole clout to dethrone the latest Star Wars film. Because The Last Jedi will continue to sit atop the box office and there won’t be much of a placement change from last week to this weekend, all the other films that opened in the last few weeks with benefit.

Chief among them will be Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. Jumanji 2 will be Second at the box office over the weekend. Comedy fans and families wanting to see something safe are going to discovery The Rock’s latest outing, especially those that have satiated their thirst for an adventure in a universe far, far away.

Pitch Perfect 3 will be Third at the box office this weekend.

All the Money in the World will open in Fourth Place at the box office. All of the controversy surrounding the recasting of a certain part in this film aside, this looks like a good film. It also doesn’t hurt that it has a stellar cast, is directed by Ridley Scott, and is based on a true life event.

The Greatest Showman will Fifth at the box office this weekend.
