Weekend Impressions

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will be the Number One film at the box office over the weekend. They’re not many films that could knock-off Incredibles 2 from its lauded throne atop the box office during its second week of national release. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is that film. Jurassic World made $652.2 Million domestically and over a $1 Billion world-wide.

Like Incredibles 2, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is coming into theaters with a gigantic fanbase in tow, a larger fanbase than Incredibles 2, thanks in no small part to Steven Spielberg and his first film in the Jurassic film franchise series, Jurassic Park.

Whether Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is something unique, monstrous (in a good way), or more of the same, remains to be seen.

Incredibles 2 will be the Number Two film at the box office over the weekend. Incredibles 2  is going to make a lot of money at the box office this weekend but not as much as Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

Ocean’s 8 will be Third at the box office this weekend.

Tag will be Fourth at the box office this weekend.

Solo: A Star Wars Story will be Fifth at the box office this weekend. This may be the last weekend in which Solo: A Star Wars Story is in the Top Five at the box office. This may also be the last Star Wars film that we see in the next few years, thank goodness.
