Weekend Impressions

Solo: A Star Wars Story will be the Number One film at the box office over the weekend. The dubious quality of Star Wars: The Last Jedi and the stain that it has left in the psyche of some with battle against the desire to see a (hopefully) good Han Solo film.

I believe that Solo with be a meat and potatoes film with no surprises. Disney will be adverse to taking big risks after how such risks haphazardly landed in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

With Solo: A Star Wars Story premiering in theaters this weekend, Deadpool 2 will be second at the box office. Deadpool 2 will attract newbies and people that have already seen Deadpool 2 and want to see it again.

Avengers: Infinity War will be Third at the box office over the weekend during its fifth week in domestic release.

Book Club will be Fourth at the box office over the weekend.

Life of the Party will be Fifth at the box office over the weekend. This will be the last weekend where Life of the Party will be in the Top Five.

If there are movies to seek out this weekend, other than the aforementioned, it would be: Mary Shelley and In Darkness.
