RUSH HOUR 4: President Trump Helps Paramount Put New Action/Comedy Sequel Into Motion

Rush Hour 4 Gets Much Needed Boost
President Trump has helped Paramount green light the long-awaited fourth movie in the immensely popular Rush Hour franchise.
According to reports, Brett Ratner will be directing the fourth installment of the action/comedy series, Rush Hour. On IMDb’s web page for the new movie, it states that Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker will be returning to the franchise. It is most likely that the information suggesting these actors would definitely return came from interviews with the stars throughout the years which suggested the pair would, most likely, return for another go-around. President Donald Trump was said to have boosted the prospects for the new buddy movie project thanks to his interaction with Paramount Skydance’s Larry Ellison, a shareholder in the company.
Ratner will be returning to the franchise which will mark the director’s first feature film job since 2014’s modest Dwayne Johnson hit, Hercules. Ratner has just worked on a documentary titled Melania that is due out this coming January. Ratner’s career was hit hard by sexual misconduct allegations and the arguments against the director were settled in and out of court. It’s easy to see Trump’s desire for another Rush Hour when you examine the fact that the movie series is essentially about good guys triumphing versus the bad ones.
In the first film, these lyrics played as Chan and Tucker danced together: “War. What is it good for? Absolutely nothing. Say it again.” People certainly want to see another movie in this series when one considers the last film in the franchise took home over a quarter of a billion dollars worldwide and the stars’ chemistry in almost all the movies played like gangbusters.
Trump lobbied for the new picture to get picked up and it seems that Trump’s efforts have proved successful in finally getting a much-anticipated project off of the ground. It was previously stuck over at Lionsgate. Whether Chan and Tucker return for part four in the series, the new movie would still be a hit as long as the pair were involved in it in some capacity. Those three prior Rush Hour movies were the stuff box-office hits were made out of and America would most likely love to see another edition of the wildly popular movie series be released if the box-office results of the last three picture are any indication.
Brett Ratner is known for his daring ability to make movies nobody else could direct quite the same way as the talented Ratner. He also directed the popular 2000 Christmas holiday-themed drama, The Family Man, which starred Nicolas Cage and Tea Leoni. Can Ratner overcome his checkered past to make this new Rush Hour project a smashing success? If other people in the limelight (such as politicians) can overcome their shady pasts to thrive, Ratner most likely will be able to as well. Rush Hour is the perfect franchise to launch Paramount Picture into profitability and make going to the movies great again.
Expect more news on the latest Rush Hour movie as it develops. It would be hard to make a movie in this wildly successful franchise without Chris Tucker (he’s always the MVP) and Jackie Chan. Once their casting is solidified, one can rest assured that Rush Hour 4 will be a darn good time at the movies.
